Body Contouring ‘Certificate’ Questions
Q. Are online body contouring certificates legitimate?
A. Yes. Online body contouring certification is widely used and accepted when the course is designed for real-world practice. The quality of the education depends on who developed the training, how the protocols were built, and whether the instruction prepares you for real client scenarios.
Choose certification programs created by experienced clinicians who have operated real body contouring businesses, developed detailed protocols, and applied them in day-to-day practice.
Q. How should I evaluate a body contouring course?
A. Evaluate instructor credentials, clinical experience, protocol depth, safety education and real-world outcomes.
Q. What role does accreditation play in body contouring education?
A. Accreditation and certification serve different purposes. In body contouring, real-world readiness is best determined by clinician-led training and practical protocol education.
Accreditation typically reflects an administrative or institutional review and is not required to practice non-invasive body contouring. It does not evaluate protocols, day-to-day decision-making or business application.
For most practitioners, education developed by experienced clinicians and refined through med-spa practice is the more relevant indicator of preparedness.
Q. When will I receive my Certificate?
A. You’ll receive your Certificate immediately upon successful completion of the course requirements. There are no quizzes since the courses are designed for motivated students who want to learn body contouring.

Q. Are there any prerequisites to taking the courses?
A. No. You do not need a professional license, to be a business owner or have experience doing body contouring to enroll in the courses. The courses are perfectly-suited for both the beginner and the ‘pro.’
Q. How long does it take to complete the courses?
A. The courses vary in length, with the Masterclass courses being the longest. You can complete the written portion of any of the courses in less than a day (and earn your certificate). However, practicing the protocols after course completion and being client-ready takes additional time.
Q. Am I able to go back and review the course material after I complete the course?
A. Yes, your course doesn’t go away. We encourage you to go back and review the materials frequently.
Q. What if I have questions after I get started?
A. That happens in the clinical world of body contouring and we are here for you! When you join any of our courses, you will become a Member of our BCA Community where you’ll get support from body contouring clinicians (& course faculty), Shannon and Kay - and all the Members of the Community.

Q. What equipment and supplies do I need for the course?
A. All you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection. No other equipment and supplies are needed until you get started practicing and treating clients. We provide a list of supplies (with links to purchase) in the course.
Q. Do I need the machine to take the course?
A. No. You can take the course and earn your certificate first. Then buy your machine once you’re ready to start practicing and treating clients.
Q. Is the machine included in the course?
A. No, because you can get a better price by buying the machine directly.
