During our twenty years of providing body contouring services, a certain proportion of the population (perhaps they were the true pioneers?) they’ve demanded natural and holistic body contouring treatments.  Now, pretty much all of us have realized the fantastic benefits of holistic wellness and treating things the natural way if we can.  

And in body contouring, we are able to deliver.  There are so many natural and holistic body contouring technologies and treatments.  Vibration therapy, Pressotherapy, Vacuum Therapy, the list goes on.

But our hurdle is with fat reduction.  These clients want inch loss but they don’t want to kill fat cells to achieve it.  Well…Lipo laser is the only non-invasive fat reduction technology that meets these demands.  Lipo laser uses the healing (and natural) power of light therapy to produce inch loss and it does it without destroying fat cells.  

In today’s episode, we’re going to take a deep dive into lipo laser for fat reduction.  

You need to meet the demands of this growing group of clients to grow you body contouring business. It's important to stay relevant and on trend because this is a growing focus of consumers.

So we’re going to 

(1) review the healing power of  lipo laser technology,

Let’s get started.

Lipo laser is powered by low level laser technology (LLLT), which is also referred to as LED (light emitting diode) and cold laser.  

Now many people believe lipo laser and red light therapy to be one in the same,but be awarae that these machines can vary as they are often powered by differing and varying light wavelengths.  

For the machine to deliver the low level laser technology (LLLT) of lipo laser, it should emit wavelengths of 

Red Light (ranges between 650-720 nm)

Infrared Light (ranges between 700 nm -1 mm)

 

We use the LLLT technology of the 6in1 cavitation machine for lipo laser treatments.  We really like it because the machine is a multi-technology machine also having the ability to deliver fat cavitation, radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening.  So it makes for a smart investment.

Okay, so we know what the technology is, let’s take a look at how lipo laser for inch loss treatment works.

During the treatment, a lipo laser treatment involves the application of the laser applicators to the client’s skin to target the subcutaneous fat in the treated area.   

These applicators emit those light wavelengths that we just talked about to target fat cells to cause a natural metabolic process (as opposed to a fat cell death that all the other non-invasive fat reduction technologies do).

During the metabolic process, the light energy stimulates the body’s cellular energy production (ATP) and this causes the fat cells to be activated.

This activation creates temporary ‘pores’ (holes) in the fat cell membranes. 

These pores in the fat cells allow the fat lipids inside to leak out into the interstitial space to be eliminated via the normal metabolic actions of the two circulatory systems - the lymphatic system and the blood circulatory system.

The result of this?  Less fat, smaller fat cells and a resulting inch loss.  (The pores in the fat cells heal over time.)

The low level laser technology of lipo laser is not new.  It’s been around and used for a long time.  It’s been proven effective time and time again.  Lipo laser’s LLLT technology has been studied extensively over nearly twenty years.  Let’s take a quick look at what the lipo laser research shows

  

One study published in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy looked at participants undergoing lipo laser treatments for inch loss (no particular body area).   The findings revealed an average reduction of 2.5 inches in the treated area after eight sessions.  

Another study examined the efficacy of lipo laser technology looking specifically at waist reduction.  After just four weeks of treatments two times a week (or 8 treatments), the researchers concluded there was clinically significant girth reduction without reporting an average inch loss.

Other researchers looked at participants receiving six lipo laser treatments to thighs, abdomen or hips over two weeks.  The study found that the participants receiving lipo laser treatments lost 3.5 inches more than the control group, who were not receiving treatments. 

Let’s take a look at one more study.  It was focused on stubborn upper arm fat and the efficacy of lipo laser for inch loss in that area.  The researchers found a significant decrease - 1.5 inches - in upper arm circumference after six treatments over two weeks.  That’s a great result for arms.
