What’s Your Job Title After Earning Your Body Contouring Certificate?

Wondering What to Call Yourself After Getting Certified in Body Contouring?
It’s a common—and important—question.
One of our students, Lenora, recently asked in our Body Contouring Academy Community:
“It seems like a stupid question, but what do we call ourselves after we get certified?”
We love that question. Why?
Because your job title after earning your body contouring certificate matters.
It defines how you present yourself professionally, how potential clients see you—and it can even affect your marketing and branding success.
Let’s answer that question for you—and explain the why behind it.
What Is Your Job Title After Earning Your Body Contouring Certificate?
Once you complete your body contouring certification—like one of our online courses—you have a variety of professional titles to choose from.
Here are some of the most commonly used job titles:
- Body Contouring Professional

- Certified Body Contouring Professional
All of these job titles are accurate and appropriate to use after completing your certification. Choose the one that fits your personal brand and business image best!
Body Contouring vs. Body Sculpting: Is There a Difference?
We often hear questions like:
- Which is the correct term—body contouring or body sculpting?
- Do I practice body contouring or body sculpting after I get certified?
Here’s the answer:
Body contouring and body sculpting are interchangeable terms.
They refer to the same non-invasive aesthetic treatments that reshape, tone, smooth, firm, and enhance the body.
So, whether you choose “contouring” or “sculpting” in your job title or marketing, both are correct. It’s simply a matter of personal or branding preference.
⚠️ Be Aware: Some Body Contouring Treatments Are Surgical
Here’s where it gets important.
The terms body contouring and body sculpting can also refer to surgical or invasive procedures—like liposuction or Kybella.
That’s why, as a certified non-invasive body contouring professional, it’s a good idea to make it clear you offer non-invasive treatments like:
- Cryolipolysis (fat freezing)
- Cavitation
- EMS (electrical muscle stimulation)
- Radiofrequency skin tightening
💡 PRO TIP:
You don’t need to include the term “non-invasive” in your job title...
But you should clearly state it in your:
- Website and blog content
- Social media bios and posts
- Marketing brochures
Consent forms and treatment descriptions
