Detoxification ‘first’ - it’s a priority
- It’s no coincidence that detox is the first category on the list. That’s because, no matter what, all of us are constantly exposed to toxins: in the water, in the air and in the food we consume.
- There are ways to minimize toxin exposures. But there is no way to avoid exposure to toxins completely.
- And neither the body nor the mind can function optimally if the body is full of toxins.
What is meant by ‘detox?’
- Detoxing the right way simply means to support the ways that help your client’s body function at its best.
- But…detoxing is one of the most misunderstood and misused actions or treatments. You’ve most likely heard of extreme detox approaches like cutting out all solid foods or sweating for hours.
- In reality, these extreme approaches are more a cleanse, not a detox.
- A cleanse focuses solely on the GI system to harshly ‘flush out’ the toxins, while a detox assists and supports all of the body’s systems, liver, kidneys and other organs in toxin elimination.

- Since the majority of the population are not informed at all - or - ill-informed about nutrition, comprehensive nutrition educational services are crucial.
- This should include information about nutrition, as well as diets good for weight loss, health promotion and longevity.
Nutritional Vitamins and Supplements
- It’s difficult, if not impossible, to get all the right nutrients from diet alone.
- Plus, there are many other factors working against it.
